Tammy Elaine McCarty

Tammy Elaine McCarty, age 61, of Salem, passed away Saturday, September 2 at Norton’s Hospital in Louisville.

Tammy was born March 2, 1962, in New Albany, Indiana, the daughter of Franklin D. McCarty and Sue Warren Denton.   She was a retired Registered Nurse and had worked several places including Humana, Wellstone, and Washington
County Memorial Hospital.

Tammy is survived by her children:  Jason Blevins of Oregon and Breana McCarty of Salem, her mother:  Sue Denton of Salem, her father:  Franklin McCarty of Salem, three sisters:  Cyndee McCarty of Jeffersonville, Sherri Fleener of Salem and Toya Remaly of Louisville and 4 grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held Saturday September 16 at 3:00PM at Weathers Funeral Home.  Visitation will be Saturday before the service from 1:30PM-until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Washington County Humane Society.
