William Ivan Gross

William Ivan (Bill) Gross age 81 passed away at 3:00AM on Monday, December 1, 2014 at Baptist Health, in Corbin, Kentucky.

Bill was born November 5, 1933 in Washington County, Indiana to Hugh and Nellie Combs Gross.

He was a truck driver by trade.  He worked several years for Salem Poultry before moving to London, Kentucky.  There he went to work for the Pepsi Cola Company out of Corbin, Kentucky.  He retired after 19 years.

Bill is survived by his wife of 38 years:  Ruby McFadden Gross of London, Kentucky and 5 daughters:  Patty Colglazier (Phillip) of Salem, Indiana, Lisa Williams (Guy), Donna Moore, Kim Burkhart(Jamie), and Tasha Whitehill (Brad) all of London, Kentucky, 14 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.  He is also survived by 3 sisters:  Lorene Tyler of Salem, Indiana, Linda Baton of Louisville, Kentucky and Anna Marie Charlton of Hocker Heights, Texas.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers:  Roy Gross, Ray Gross and Hugh Gross Jr., his sister:  Mary Elizabeth (Betty) Walton and his granddaughter:  Shannon Marie Carter.

Bill is loved by a very large extended family in London, Kentucky and Washington County, Indiana.  He will be sadly missed.

The man never met a stranger and was a true friend to all.

Funeral services will be held Friday at 2:00PM at Weathers Funeral Home.  Burial will follow in Crown Hill Cemetery.  Visitation will be Thursday from 4-8PM and Friday from 9AM-time of service.
