Mr. Walter J. “Walt” Zelivetz, age 78, of Fredericksburg, passed away peacefully Thursday, September 29 at his home.
Mr. Zelivetz born October 11, 1943 in Chicago, Illinois the son of Walter John Zelivetz and Mary Coglionese Zelivetz. Walt was a retired Indiana State Trooper in Lake County. He was the owner of Livonia Feed and Grain for 43 years, and Main Street Auction Service. Walt was a trucker by heart and was often referred to as the Super Trucker.
Walt is survived by his wife of 60 years: Kathleen “Kathy” Zelivetz they were married March 27, 1963. He is also survived by his children: John Zelivetz of Fredericksburg, Chris Zelivetz of Fredericksburg, Paula McCutcheon of Greenville, Brian Zelivetz of Campbellsburg, and Joe Zelivetz of Livonia, a sister: Joanna West of Morocco,
Indiana, 7 grandchildren: Riley Zelivetz, Stephanie Taylor, Kaliee Magner, Brent Zelivetz, Brad Zelivetz, Brooklyn Zelivetz, and Elizabeth Glenn, and 11 great-grandchildren: Xander Taylor, Rayneh Taylor, Sophia Zelivetz, Dallas Zelivetz, Maddox Zelivetz, Arya Zelivetz, Marilyn Gelinau, Madeline Gelinau, Maylene Zelivetz, Colt Zelivetz, and Braxton Magner.
He is preceded in death by a brother: Michael Zelivetz, a grandson: Carson McCutcheon, and his parents.
Funeral services will be held at 12PM Tuesday at Weathers Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Livonia Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 12-8PM and Tuesday from 11AM-until time of service.
