Victor Dean Blevins

Mr. Victor Dean Blevins, age 71, of Salem, passed away Saturday, June 25 at Baptist Health Floyd.

Mr. Blevins was born November 16, 1950, in Hammond, Indiana the son of Walter Blevins and Margaret Wingler Woods.  He was a retired employee of the City of Salem.  He had served in the Army and was a member of the American Legion.  He was also a member of Fishing Creek Christian Church and Salem Moose Lodge.

Victor is survived by his wife, Pamela Jean Hudson Blevins.  They were married March 20, 2010.  He is also survived by his children:  Vicki Hampton (Michael) of Salem, Penny Bowles (Jessie Kio) of Salem, Deena Kay Stone (Robert) of Salem, Paul Dean Blevins (Jennifer) of Salem, Jillian Wick (Charles) of Nashville, Tennessee, Jamie Lykins (Joshua) of Warner Robins, Georgia, and Jennifer Tyre (Ben Brickey) of Zahl, North Dakota, three brothers:  Lonnie Blevins (Louise) of Salem, Larry Blevins of Salem, and Butch Blevins (Sally) of Lake Village, Indiana, a sister:  Jan Valandingham (Ken) of Kingman, Arizona, 21 grandchildren:  Brandon Bostock, Brooklyn Bostock, Tiana Stone, Kimberlee Stone, Wyatt Stone, Jayden Stone, Ava Stone, Natalie Blevins, Maleah Blevins, Lila Blevins, Ryan Bowles, Kasey Woods, Keenan Bowles, Les Paul Bowles, Micah Lanzoni, Chandler Geary, Colten Alexander, Cameron Lykins, Gwendalyn Lykins, Tripp Wick, and Charlotte Wick, and six great grandchildren:  Jacye Stone, Kyleigh Storms, Harley Roach, Camreigh Deaux, Blaze Blankenbaker and Skye Deaux, and several nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers:  Rick and Roger Blevins, a sister:  Vivian Gould, and his twin sister:  Vicki Blevins.

Funeral services will be held Friday at 11AM at Weathers Funeral Home.  Private burial will follow in Crown Hill Cemetery.  Visitation will be Thursday from 4-8PM and Friday from 9AM-time of service at the funeral home.
