Tony Russell Wagoner

Tony Russell Wagoner, age 81, of Salem, passed away on Thursday, September 19, 2024 at Ascension St. Vincent Salem Hospital.

Mr. Wagoner was born October 29, 1942 in Borden, Indiana, the son of Russell and Genevieve Rutherford Wagoner. Mr. Wagoner was an Army Vietnam Veteran, he retired from Ford Motor Truck Company after 39 years. Mr. Wagoner was a Borden High School graduate and a Spencerian College graduate. He spent many years coaching his children and others in sports. He was an avid Indiana University basketball and football fan. Tony and his wife enjoyed playing cards at the Senior Center.

Mr. Wagoner is survived by his wife, Jeri Price Wagoner, they were married on March 4, 1967. He is also survived by his two sons: Tony Wagoner II (Milissa) of Borden, Scott Wagoner (Robin) of Floyd Knobs, two daughters: Janine Lee (Randy) of Salem, Tracy Watson (Ryan) of Salem, 12 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren and his sister, Susie Greenwell of Sellersburg.

Services will be private for Mr. Wagoner.
