Tom Ray Shawler

Tom Ray Shawler age 64 of Salem passed away Tuesday, April 10 at his home.
Mr. Shawler was born January 10, 1953 in Depauw, Indiana the son of James Bernard and Louise Spurling Shawler. He was a truck driver for NetShape for 17 years and a member of Westview Christian Church.
Tom is survived by his wife: Barbara Long Shawler. He is also survived by four sons: Thomas R. Shawler Jr. of Charlestown, WK Goen of Salem, Christopher S. Shawler of Florida and Michael C. Shawler of Georgia, three brothers: George Shawler of Depauw, Joseph Shawler of Paoli and James F. Shawler of Depauw, four sisters: Doris Powers, Myrtle Baylor, Lillian Ragains and Tammy Ragains all of Fredericksburg, and 7 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by three brothers: James B. Shawler, Sherman F. Shawler, Ricky D. Shawler and a sister: Mary M. Zimmerman and his parents.
Visitation will be held Thursday from 4-8PM at Weathers Funeral Home.
The family asks that memorial donations be made to the Salem Animal Shelter.
