If you look up "tough SOB" in the dictionary, you won't see a picture of Tim Voyles, but that's *only* because he rarely let anyone take his picture.
For over a year, Tim fought a very aggressive cancer. He did so with a truly inspiring amount of courage and dignity. We never heard a single "why me?".
The cancer took so much from him, but it did not take his sense of humor or his love for his family. When opportunities arose, he still made his Tim Jokes (think "Dad jokes" but more clever). The cancer did not take his will to live. When it seemed like he was no longer able to process the blended food his sister-in-law expertly and diligently provided, he asked for Ensure protein drinks, and although he was weak, just the other day he used a walker to make short laps in the house to keep his mobility as strong as possible. The cancer did not take his faith. Tim believed he was going Home, and we believe we will see him again one day.
