Thomas E Huffines

Mr. Thomas E. Huffines age 70 of Salem passed away Monday, September 28 at Salem Crossing.

Mr. Huffines was born March 26, 1945 in Indianapolis, Indiana the son of Earcell and Sarah Kracke Huffines.  He was a retired employee of Hanson Quarry.  He was a Vietnam War Army veteran and a member of Mill Creek Baptist Church.

Thomas married Barbara Beavers on December 12, 1965.  He is survived by his wife:  Barbara Huffines of Salem, two daughters:  Franny Garriott and Tracey McKillip (Chuck) both of Salem, five sisters:  Shirley Wilson of Salem, Lorna Haycox (Gene) of Paoli, Lish Schocke of Salem, Mary Carty of Virginia and Linda Borden (Curtis) of Campbellsburg, 5 grandchildren, 5 step-grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild and 6 step-great grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his son:  Thomas Stanley Allen Huffines, a daughter:  Ramona Huffines, two brothers:  Richard Huffines and Phillip “Buck” Huffines , a sister:  Margaret Sawyer and his parents.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11:00AM at Weathers Funeral Home.  Burial will follow in Crown Hill Cemetery with military honors.  Visitation will be Tuesday from 4-8PM and Wednesday from 9AM-time of service.
