Mr. Stephen “Steve” Lynn Brown, age 65, of Salem, passed away Wednesday, March 22 at Norton Brownsboro Hospital.

Mr. Brown was born May 28, 1957, in Salem, the son of Howard Thomas Brown Sr. and Marie Kathryn Vernia Brown.  He was the plant manager of Haas Cabinet in Sellersburg for 24 years, after working at Kimball Office Furniture for 20 years.  He was a great cook and baker and enjoyed hanging out with his grandkids.  He was the family’s traveling handy man.

Steve is survived by his wife:  Lorraina Marie Small Brown.  They were married June 15, 1979.  He is also survived by a son:  David Brown (Michelle) of Lexington, Kentucky, two daughters:  Stephanie Martin (Chris) of Greenville, and Jacqueline Cates (Jonathan) of Georgetown, and four grandchildren:  Miles Martin, Max Martin, Olivia Brown, and Ruby Cates.

He was preceded in death by two brothers:  Howard “Tom” Brown Jr., and Robert
“Bob” Brown, and his parents.

Funeral services will be held at 11AM Monday, March 27 at Weathers Funeral Home with Neyland McClellen, pastor of North Charlestown Church of God, officiating.  Burial will follow in Crown Hill Cemetery.  Visitation will be Sunday from 2-6PM and Monday from 10AM-time of service.
