Mrs. Loughrey was born January 23, 1943 in Louisville, Kentucky the daughter of Joe Burrow and Elise Taylor Falkland. She was a member of Mt. Tabor Christian Church.
Early in her life she was employed by NBD Bank and would later go on to retire from Home Federal Savings Bank. She was the owner of Oldies Are Goodies where her and her husband Stephen refinished furniture. She served 10 years on the West Washington School Board. She was a lover of animals and a supporter of the Humane Society.
Shirley was preceded in death by her husband: Stephen Loughrey on January 7, 2021. She is also preceded in death by a brother: Ronnie James, and her parents.
She is survived by her children: Sheryl Myers (Kelly) of Avon, Indiana, Stephanie Chapman of New Albany, Scott Loughrey (Cristal) of Brownsburg, and Stuart Loughrey of Campbellsburg, 7 grandchildren: Reagan, Seth, and Eli Loughrey, Lilly and Emma Chapman, and Derek and Damon Myers.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 1PM at Mt. Tabor Christian Church. Burial will follow in Mt. Tabor Cemetery. Visitation will be held Monday from 11AM-until time of service at the church.
