Shirley Rose King

Mrs. Shirley Rose King, age 84, of Salem, passed away Monday, October 14, 2024, at her home. 

Mrs. King was born July 16, 1940, in Washington County, Indiana the daughter of Lawrence Hattabaugh and Gladys Green Hattabaugh Haller. 

Shirley was a retired hairdresser, having worked at Shirley’s Beauty Shop, Marvin’s and Shear Perfection. She was a member of Salem First Baptist Church and Salem Moose Lodge. Shirley enjoyed playing cards at the Moose. 

Mrs. King was preceded in death by her husband: Billy Lee King. She was also preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by a daughter: Terri Smith of Salem, a brother: Marvin Hattabaugh (Sally) of Salem, two grandsons: Adam Clark Smith and Andrew Lee Smith (Melinda Burton), and one great-granddaughter: Solara Rose Smith. 

Funeral services will be held Monday at 12:00PM at Weathers Funeral Home with Rev. Dr. Steve Gorman officiating. Burial will follow in Crown Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 10AM-time of service.
