Mr. Salvador Garcia, age 57, of Salem, passed away Thursday, December 5 in Memphis, Tennessee.
Mr. Garcia was born March 18, 1962 in Tenayuca, Zacatecas, Mexico the son of Ramon and Aniceta Cervantes Garcia. He was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Salem. He was a welder and boilermaker for Phoenix Fabricators and Welders. He was a member of Outdoor Sportsman Club of Mitchell.
He is survived by his wife: Beatriz Salas. They were married February 28, 2000. He is also survived by a son: Jesus Salvador Garcia-Salas of Salem, three daughters: Fatima Aniceta Garcia of Chicago, Erica Adriana Garcia of Chicago, and Denise Guadalupe Garcia-Salas of Salem, his father: Ramon Garcia of Louisville, three brothers: Santos Garcia, Filimon Garcia, and Sergio Garcia all of Louisville, and two sisters: Delia Garcia and Sonia Garcia both of Louisville.
A funeral mass will be held Friday at Noon at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Salem with Father Joe Villa and Father Steve Schaftleid officiating. Burial will follow in St. Patrick Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 1-8PM at the church.
