Ruth Kay

Mrs. Ruth Kay age 88 of Fillmore, formerly of Salem passed away Tuesday, February 26 at St. Francis Hospital in Mooresville.
Mrs. Kay was born July 10, 1924 in Salem the daughter of Verne and Josie Early Winslow. She retired after 43 years as a beautician and was owner of Grace's Beauty Shop. She attended Salem Presbyterian Church and was a member of Washington County Memorial Hospital Auxiliary and Salem Order of Eastern Star.
She was preceded in death by her husband: Millis Fleenor. She then married Dwight Kay and he also preceded her in death. She is survived by a son: Jeffery Fleenor (Marie) of Mooresville, a daughter: Rita Goen (Larry) of Fillmore, grandchildren: Todd and Brian Fleenor, Anissa Veon (Neil), Jennifer Rusboldt (Matt) and Tyson Goen, and great-grandchildren: Sydney and Erika Rusboldt. She was also preceded in death by one brother, her parents and a grandson: Chad Goen.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 1:00PM at Weathers Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Crown Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday from 11:00AM-time of service.
