Ruth G (Applegate) Collier

Mrs. Ruth G. Collier age 97 of Salem passed away Monday, August 31 at Salem Crossing.
Mrs. Collier was born February 4, 1918 in Washington County, Indiana the daughter of James Applegate and Daisy Stewart Applegate. She was a retired employee of Bradie Shrum Cafeteria. She was a member of Conway Community Church and Salem Homemakers Club.
Ruth was preceded in death by her husband: Marvin “Ted” Collier, a daughter: Teddie Dawn “Donna” Thompson, five brothers: Raymond, Ralph, Clyde, Warren and Elbert Applegate, three sisters: Lilly Hattabaugh, Estelle Smith, and Maude McCoskey and her parents. She is survived by a daughter: Brenda Gail Cole of Salem, five grandchildren: Brian Thompson, Julia Madden, Marvin Scott Thompson, Travis Wilder and Sabrina Wilder and 10 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2:00PM at Weathers Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Conway Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 5-8PM and Thursday from 9AM-time of service.
