Roy Everett Rutherford

Mr. Everett Rutherford age 82 of Salem passed away Saturday, August 31 at his home.
Mr. Rutherford was born September 27, 1931 in Washington County, Indiana the son of Harley and Mabel Weston Rutherford. He was a retired farmer and a former employee of Smith Cabinet and Arvin's Tailpipe. He was a member of Mt. Tabor Christian Church and was a Korean War Army veteran.
He was preceded in death by his wife: Nelda Daileen Rutherford on May 11, 2013. He was also preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers and a sister. He is survived by his son: Roy Lee Rutherford of Orleans, two brothers: Howard Rutherford of Orleans and James Rutherford of Detroit, Michigan, and three sisters: Flossie Louise Collins of Austin, Texas, Marjorie and Dorene Rutherford both of Scottsburg.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11:00AM at Weathers Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Mt. Tabor Cemetery with military honors. Visitation will be Wednesday from 4-8PM and Thursday from 9AM-time of service.
