Mr. Robert L. McKillip age 84 of Pekin passed away Saturday, December 27 at Salem Crossing.
Mr. McKillip was born September 26, 1930 in Washington County, Indiana the of William and Gertie Fultz McKillip. He was a farmer and a former employee of O.P. Link Handle Company, City of Salem, Bata Shoe Company, and the Salem Cheese Factory. He was a member of Big Spring Church of Christ and Salem Senior Citizens.
Robert married Loretta M. Miller on September 1, 1951. He is survived by his wife: Loretta McKillip of Pekin, three sons: Robert Lawrence McKillip of Rocky Mount, Virginia, William Joseph McKillip of Henryville and Charles Lee McKillip of Salem, a daughter: Margie Baldwin of Salem, 12 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by brothers: Arthur, Glen, Harold and Clarence McKillip, sisters: Geneva Trent and Doris Jones and one grandchild.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 11:00AM at Weathers Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Big Spring Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 4-8PM and Friday from 9AM-time of service.
