Robert Lee Brewer

Mr. Robert Lee Brewer, age 80, of Salem, passed away Sunday, February 4, 2018 at Bell Trace Health and Living in Bloomington, Indiana.

Mr. Brewer was born July 6, 1937 in Hardinsburg, Indiana the son of Delbert and Mary Gayle Walton Brewer.  He was a member of the United Methodist Church, attended Canton Christian Church, and a member of Fort Nightly Club.  He began his career at Southern States Co-Op, and moved to the Farm Bureau where he worked until he retired in Salem.

Robert is survived by his wife, Jane Burgin Brewer.  They were married on August 31, 1958.  He is also survived by a son: Doug Brewer (Jodi) of Chicago, Illinois, a daughter:  Deborah Brewer (John Fishbone) of Bloomington, Indiana, seven brothers:  Charlie Brewer of Salem, Paul Brewer of Borden, Roger Brewer of Seymour, Tommy Brewer, Bruce Brewer, Steven Brewer, and Gary Brewer all of Salem, four sisters:  Mary Hopkins and Barbara Bills both of Salem, Peggy Walker of Bloomington, Indiana, and Lois Cauble of Salem, and five grandchildren:  Nate Fishbone, Rachel Fishbone, Maddie Brewer, Jack Brewer and Ethan Brewer.

Robert was preceded in death by a sister:  Carol Hinds and his parents.

Funeral services will be held Friday at 1:00PM at Weathers Funeral Home.  Burial will follow in Crown Hill Cemetery.  Visitation will be Thursday from 4-8PM and Friday from Noon-time of service.
