Raymond "Sonny" M. Edwards

Mr. Raymond “Sonny”  M. Edwards, Jr., age 82, of Salem, passed away Saturday, June 27 at his home.

Mr. Edwards was born April 13, 1938 in Clark County the son of Raymond Edwards Sr. and Elnora “Bea” Rogers Edwards.  He was an oiler for Reynolds Metals and a Marine veteran.

Raymond is survived by his wife of 60 years:  Doris M. Renn Edwards.  They were married June 4, 1960.  He is also survived by four sons:  Raymond Edwards III (Viola) of Salem, Mark Edwards (Missy) of Henryville, Tim Edwards of Underwood, and Greg Edwards (Melissa) of Bloomington, a brother:  Michael Edwards of Louisville, Kentucky, 12 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11AM at Weathers Funeral Home.  Burial will follow in Bunker Hill Cemetery.  Visitation will be Tuesday from 5-8PM and Wednesday from 10-11AM at the funeral home.
