Ray Eugene Lessig

Mr. Ray “Gene” Lessig age 91 of Campbellsburg passed away Saturday, October 4 peacefully at his home.
Mr. Lessig was born May 25, 1923 in Washington Co. Indiana the son of Ray and Edna Trinkle Lessig.
He was preceded in death by his wife: Christina Bennett Lessig August 17, 1999, a son James Lessig on April 3, 2010, two brothers Steve Lessig and Donald Lessig and a sister Emogene Brown.
He is survived by a daughter Sherry “Frankie” Hamilton of Salem, A sister Ethelene Wilcoxenson of Mitchell, four grandchildren Talleaha “Kent” Melvin, Butch Lessig, Chad Lessig all of Bedford. Bryce “Jenny” Hamilton of Sellersburg, and seven great grandchildren.
Mr. Lessig is a retired worker of Mitchell and Stark Construction and he has over 50 years of membership in the Masonic Lodge. He was also a member of Mt. Carmel Christian Church.
Funeral Services will be held Friday at 10:00 AM at Weathers Funeral Home with burial in Claysville Cemetery. Visitation will Thursday 4-8 PM and Friday 9AM-Time of service.
