Phyllis Ilene Sons

Phyllis Ilene Sons, age 85 of Campbellsburg, passed away Saturday, July 21, 2024 at Meadowview Health and Rehab Center.

Mrs. Sons was born September 23, 1938 in Washington County, the daughter of James “Jim” Bennett and Ida Hoggatt Bennett. She loved Ronald and going with him to do music. She loved her family deeply and was Mamaw to a lot of kids. She was a member of Westside Baptist Church.

Mrs. Sons is survived by her son Cameron Sons of Salem, her daughters: Vonnie Shell (George) of Campbellsburg, Anita Gibson (Johnnie) of Campbellsburg, her sister Terrie (Donnie) Taylor of Saltillo, 8 grandchildren: Jayme (Allison), Miranda, Kylee, Stacy, John (Emily), Lacey, Dean (Melissa), Jessy and 11 great grandchildren.

Mrs. Sons is preceded by her parents, her husband Ronald “Ronnie” Sons, her son Keith Lynn Sons, her sisters, Juanita (Harold) Brewer and Christina (Gene) Lessig. And a granddaughter Jodi.

Services will be held on Thursday, July 25 at 11:00A.M at Weathers Funeral Home. Visitation will be on Wednesday, July 24 from 5:00P.M to 8:00P.M at the funeral home, and on Thursday from 10:00A.M until the time of service. Burial will take place after the services at Cavetown Cemetery.
