Mr. Phillip S. Hamilton age 60 of Salem passed away Thursday, January 1 at 9:53AM at Floyd Memorial Hospital.
Mr. Hamilton was born March 13, 1954 in Salem the son of Eugene and Maggie Guernsey Hamilton. He was a 1972 graduate of Salem High School and worked as a meat cutter at Salem and French Lick Jay C Stores. He later retired as a truck driver for Walmart in 2009.
Phillip is survived by his wife: Sue E. Hamilton of Salem, his three daughters: Amy Trotter (KC) of Pekin, Emily Roberts (Josh) of Salem and Erin Alexander (Jason) of Salem, his mother: Maggie Hamilton of Salem, his nine grandchildren: Laydon and Logan Trotter, Austin and Brandon Roberts, Gavin Campbell, Daegen Gibson, Kanyen Feist, Nora and Malayna Alexander, his sister: Glenda Reynolds (James) of Salem, Ronnie and Alan Hamilton both of Salem and two sisters-in-law: Nyoka and Mary Jane Hamilton both of Salem. He was preceded in death by his father: Eugene Hamilton.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 1:00PM at Weathers Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Mt. Carmel Cemetery, near Little York. Visitation will be Monday from 4-8PM and Tuesday from 9AM-time of service.
