Mrs. Perley Orene Chambers age 75 of Salem passed away Monday, January 12 at 9:45AM at Salem Crossing.
Orene was born November 15, 1939 in Pomeroyton, Kentucky the daughter of William and Golden Jewell Combs Luke. She was a housekeeper for Dr. Eddie Apple and a Baptist.
She is survived by her son: Ellis Chambers of Salem, her daughter: Regina Chambers of Salem, a brother: Wayne Luke of Campton, Kentucky, a sister: Agnes Parm of Mt. Sterling, Kentucky, 4 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by 1 son, 2 daughters, three brothers: Brian, Reese and Reed Luke, two sisters: Bonnie Lackey and Margie Sewell and her parents.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 2:00PM at Weathers Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Oak Cemetery, near Austin. Visitation will be Friday from 11AM-2PM.
