Pauline (Myers) Goen

Mrs. Pauline Goen age 101 of Salem passed away Thursday, February 7 at 10:25AM at Covered Bridge Health Campus in Seymour.
Mrs. Goen was born September 28, 1911 in Campbellsburg the daughter of Ralph and Ethel Stephenson Myers. She was a member of First Christian Church in Salem and founded Salem Al-Anon group in 1957 after her husband, Bill, founded Salem Alcoholic Anonymous in 1956.
On October 30, 1930 she married Clyde "Bill" Goen and he preceded her in death in 1997. She was also preceded in death by her parents and 8 brothers and sisters.
Pauline is survived by three sons: Patrick Goen of Evansville, James Goen of Seymour and W. Ike Goen of Pekin, a sister: Mary Bridgewater of Austin, Texas, 11 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 10:30AM at Weathers Funeral Home with Jeremy Goen officiating. Burial will follow in Crown Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday from 4-8PM and Monday from 9AM-time of service.
