Paul E Purlee

Mr. Paul E. Purlee age 70 of Salem passed away Saturday, September 19.

Mr. Purlee was born July 29, 1945 in New Albany, Indiana the son of Cecil L. and  Fern Rebecca Libka Purlee.  He was a retired logger and farmer.  He was a former member of the National Guard.

He is survived by his wife:  Konda Robbins Purlee.  They were married July 4, 1995.  He is also survived by a son:  Matt Purlee (Amber) of Salem, a daughter:  Melissa Prater (Tony) of Salem, a step-son:  Brian Butler of Vallonia, four step-daughters:  Regina Carson, Rhonda Hien, Nancy Nicholson, Deanna Fleetwood all of Vallonia, a brother:  Roy Purlee of Pekin, a sister:  Lena Shields of Salem, 3 grandchildren, 8 step grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild, and 5 step great-grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by a son:  Shannon Purlee.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11:00AM at Weathers Funeral Home.  Burial will follow in Big Spring Cemetery.  Visitation will be Tuesday from 4-8PM and Wednesday from 9AM-time of service.
