Paul E. Lyles

Mr. Paul E. Lyles age 89 of Salem passed away Wednesday, March 30, 2016 at his home. Mr. Lyles was born July 10, 1926 in Salem, Indiana son of Lawrence Lyles Sr. and Mary Crane Lyles. He was a member of the West Point United Methodist Church, VFW, American Legion, Masonic Salem Lodge #21; Model A restore club, Tri county Antiques and farm machinery club. He is a retired worker of BF Goodrich, The VA Service Office, and a lifelong Farmer. On September 28, 1955 he married Madge Sparkman. Mr. Lyles is survived by his two sons: David Lyles (Angie) and Charlie Lyles (Geraldine Schocke) both of Salem, two daughters: Karen McGinnis (Kim) of Salem, Marsha Keeton (Randy) of New Hudson MI, two brothers: Roger Lyles and Melvin Lyles both of Salem, three sisters: Wanda Rowland of Fredericksburg, JoAnn Meyers of Taylorsville Indiana and June Voyles of Salem twelve grandchildren: Christy Vernon, Robin Tharp, Jessica Brickey, Jessica McGinnis , Jason McGinnis, Evan Keeton, Whitney Bowers, Brooke Lyles, Alexis Lyles , Aaron Lyles, Austin Lyles, Addison Lyles, nine great grandchildren: Corey Morris, Nickole Vernon, Natalie Dean, Ava Temple, Lane Bowers, Garrett Bowers, Mackenzie Lyles, Maddex Shelley and Jullian Shelley. Mr. Lyles is preceded in death by his wife Madge Sparkman Lyles, his parents, four brothers: Lawrence Lyles Jr, Alton Lyles, Marvin Lyles, and Kenneth Lyles, two sisters: Lois Trueblood, and Mildred Hignite, one grandchild: Nicky Morris. Mr. Lyles was a WW ll veteran and will be buried with full military honors in Franklin Cemetery. Funeral Service is Monday 11 A.M. at Weathers Funeral Home Visitation will be Sunday 3-8 and 9- till time of service on Monday.
