Mr. Ova J. Davidson, age 83, of Salem, passed away Sunday, October 10 at Robley Rex VA Medical Center.
Mr. Davidson was born February 1, 1938 in Clay County, Kentucky the son of Ossie Davidson and Nannie Melton Davidson. He was a United State Navy Veteran. He was a member of the Salem Moose Lodge #2380 and the Salem VFW Post #6636. Ova was retired from Graves Body Shop.
He is survived by a son: Marcus Davidson of Salem, a daughter: Norine Knight of Campbellsburg, two brothers: Coy Davidson of Pekin, and Timmy Davidson of Salem, two sisters: Velita Brown and Glenda Garrison both of Salem, seven grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
He is preceded in death by two daughters: Brenda Pumphrey, and Veanica Hamilton, five brothers: Lee Roy Davidson, Ralph Davidson, Woodrow Davidson, Troy Davidson, and Tommy Davidson, a sister: Barbara Coliapolis, one grandson, one great-grandson, and his parents.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM Monday, October 18 at Weathers Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Walnut Ridge Cemetery with military honors. Visitation will be held Monday from 10AM-until time of service at the funeral home.
