Osa D (Higgs) Harris

Mrs. Osa D. Harris age 88 of Salem passed away Friday, February 15 at 9:50AM at her home.

Mrs. Harris was born April 7, 1924 in Edmonson, Kentucky the daughter of Frank and Rose White Higgs.  She was a homemaker and a member of Cub Creek Baptist Church in Brownsville, Kentucky. She married Regnal Harris on August 5, 1942 and he preceded her in death on December 25, 2003.  She was also preceded in death by a daughter:  Martha Ellen Miller on June 10, 1999, 4 brothers, 6 sisters, a grandson and 3 great-grandchildren.

She is survived by four sons:  Richard Harris of La Jolla, California, Randall Harris of Bear, Delaware, Charles Harris of Columbus, and Regnal E. Harris Jr. of Salem, four daughters:  Helen Collier, Patricia Wells and Sharon Fleming all of Salem and Mary Cooper of Vallonia, 15 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 10:00AM at Weathers Funeral Home.  Burial will follow in Mt. Zion Cemetery.  Visitation will be Monday from 5-8PM and Tuesday from 9AM-time of service.
