Olive May (Russell) Routh

Mrs. Olive May (Russell) Routh, age 90, passed away December 19, 2022, at Meadow View Health and Rehab Facility in Salem, Indiana.

She was born September 3. 1932 in Campbellsburg, Indiana the daughter of Jason V. and Hazel Maudlin Russell.  She was a member of Smedley Church of Christ.  She retired from West Washington School Corporation and was a homemaker.

Olive married Arthur Howard Routh, who preceded her in death in 2004.  She is survived by two daughters:  Patricia Williams, and Peggy (Lerry) Zink, both of Salem, and two sons:  Steve (Rita) Routh of Salem, and Michael Routh of Sellersburg.  She is also survived by a sister-in-law:  Dixie Russell of Columbus, Indiana, seven grandchildren:  Stephen (Toni) Williams, Keith Williams, Chris(Stacy) Zink, Erich (Sally) Zink, Joshua (Trisha) Routh, Jared (Michelle) Routh, and Brooke (Aaron) Adams, ten great-grandchildren:  Justin (Ashley) Williams, Danielle Williams, Alexis Williams, Tyler Zink, Chloe Zink, Ashley Zink, Grace Routh, Audrey Routh, Abigail Routh, and Aiden Adams, four great-great-granddaughters:  Audrey, Alaina, Adalyn, and Averie Williams, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband:  Arthur, three brothers:  George, John, and Jerry Russell, son-in-law:  Richard Williams, a granddaughter-in-law:  Stacy Williams, and a great-grandchild:  Conner Adams.

Funeral services will be held at 11AM Wednesday, December 28th at Weathers Funeral Home with Dr. Jeremy Goen officiating.  Burial will follow in Crown Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 4-8PM and Wednesday from 9AM-time of service at the funeral home.
