Norman H Ponsford

Mr. Norman H. Ponsford age 93 of Salem passed away Saturday, November 12 at Baptist Health Floyd in New Albany.
Mr. Ponsford was born November 4, 1923 in Salem the son of Ray and Lora Gray Ponsford. He was a retired farmer. Norman was a member of Old Blue River Christian Church and Farm Bureau. He was a former Land Bank Director and 4-H Leader. He was a former member of the I.O.O.F., Chamber of Commerce and various Dairy Associations.
On June 1, 1946, Norman married Mary Jeanette Morgan and she preceded him in death on October 24, 2009. He was also preceded in death by two brothers: Lloyd and Roger Ponsford and his parents. He is survived by a son: Michael Ponsford (Judy) of Salem, two daughters: Charlotte Salkeld of Salem and Rebecca Nally of Memphis, 10 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11:00AM at Weathers Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Crown Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 4-8PM and Wednesday from 9AM-time of service.
