Nettie Florine (Walden) Boling

September 20, 1920 — April 10, 2015

Nettie Florine Boling, 94 passed away at home, Friday, April 10, 2015.  She was preceded in death by her husband, George Boling, and one son, Van Boling, sisters:  Edith Hopkins and Ida Mae Maudlin, three brothers:  Claude Walden, Frank Walden all of Salem and William Walden of Charlestown.  All of her brothers, father and son, Van, served in the military.

Born in Lee County, Virginia, September 20, 1920, Nettie was the eldest of seven children of Elizabeth Dearry Walden and Warren Briscoe Walden.  The family moved to Salem in 1936 with her father passing away shortly after the move.  She and her husband, George, were retired dairy farmers in Salem and Ft. Atkinson, Wisconsin.  She was an employee of General Communications Electronics in Ft. Atkinson.

She is survived by two daughters:  Priscilla (Harold) Humphrey and Therisa Kreilein of Salem, one brother, Howard (Catherine) Walden of Church Hill, Tennessee, 6 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

The family wishes to thank Hoosier Uplands Hospice and her caregiver, Verna Stewart for their tender loving care given to Nettie during her last days.

Funeral services will be held Sunday at 3:00PM at Weathers Funeral Home with Sid Dye officiating.  Visitation will be Sunday from 1-3.  Burial will be private in Crown Hill Cemetery.
