Nathaniel “Nate” Richard Barr, age 21 of Salem, passed away Thursday, July 5 in Louisville.
Nate was born March 17, 2003, in Salem, the son of Courtney Beck and Adam Barr. He was a graduate of Salem High School, class of 2021and was a construction worker, wood worker and laborer.
Nate loved to play basketball, swim in the summer, fishing and exploring new places, he liked to sled and ride four wheelers through the snow in the winter. But most of all Nate loved being with his family and friends, laughing joking and making memories. Nate has the biggest heart and was the most caring and loveable person. We all were so blessed to have in our lives.
Nate is survived by his parents: Courtney Beck of Salem and Adam Barr of Louisville, a sister Natalie Humphrey of Salem, aunts and uncles: Carissa and Christian Beck, Erin Barr and Taylor Woeste, grandparents: Lori Carmack and Anne and Doug Helm and a great grandmother, Jewel Herron.
Nate is preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Ron Barr who was an outstanding positive influence in Nathaniel’s life and his great grandparents: Irvin and Corrine Barr.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, July 22 at 1:00P.M at Crown Hill Cemetery pavilion.
