Nancy Elizabeth (Sturdevant) Godfrey
December 24, 1942 — August 25, 2012
Nancy Elizabeth Godfrey died August 25, 2012 at her home ending her 12 year encounter with ovarian cancer. She persevered and inspired while offering hope to others. She was a kind, gentle and indulgent wife, mother and grandmother. One who caused no one any sorrow.
Survivors include husband: Maurice of Salem, a son: Thomas, and daughter-in-law: Joy of Salem, daughter: Heather Hackney, and son-in-law: Douglas of Paoli, grandchildren: Eric, Kelly, and Seth Hackney, Beth and Anna Godfrey, brother: James Sturdevant of Indianapolis, and numerous relatives and friends who enriched her life.
Her family sincerely thanks Daniel Metzinger, MD, University of Louisville, Brown Cancer Center for 12 years of excellent and dedicated medical care.
Her expressed wish was for expressions of love to be made to the Washington County Food Bank.
