Murl L Coots

Mr. Murl Louis Coots, age 71, of Salem, passed away Tuesday, April 19 at Meadow View Health Care and Rehab in Salem.

Mr. Coots was born January 21, 1951, in Jeffersonville, Indiana the son of Louis Murl and Mae Plummer Coots.  He was a Mechanical Engineer and enjoyed playing music.

Murl is survived by two sons:  Aaron Coots of Pekin and Timon Givan-Coots of Pekin, a brother:  Roy Coots of Jeffersonville, two sisters:  Kaye Gray of Memphis, Indiana and Terrylee Snelling of Jeffersonville, and one granddaughter:  Maya Givan-Coots of Pekin.  He was preceded in death by his parents:  Louis and Mae Coots, a brother:  Michael Keith Coots, and two sisters:  Carole Malott and Mari Coots.

Cremation was chosen and there will be a celebration of life at a later date.
