Mrs. Minnie M. Allen age 92 of Salem passed away Monday, August 11 at 9:45PM at Rolling Hills Kindred Transitional Care in New Albany.
Mrs. Allen was born February 2, 1922 in Hawkins County, Tennessee the daughter of Clyde and Alice Anderson Thacker. She was a retired employee of Bata Shoe Company. She was a Christian.
Minnie was preceded in death by her husband: Howard “Bud” Allen, five brothers: Elbert, Eugene, Garnie, Herman and James Thacker, three sisters: Virginia Horton, Marynelle Rollins and Beatrice Gibson and her parents. She is survived by a daughter: Linda Vinson of Clarksville, a step-daughter: Carol Harber of Columbus, a sister: Betty Smith of Tennessee, one granddaughter, 3 step-grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, 7 step-great grandchildren and 3 step-great-great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held Thursday at 12:00PM at Crown Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 11-Noon at Weathers Funeral Home.
