Michael L Long

Mr. Michael L. Long, age 59, of Salem, passed away Tuesday, April 20 at his home.

Mr. Long was born May 31, 1961 in California the son of Leon Long and Evelyn Hardin.  He was an Ironworker.

Michael is survived by his wife:  Misty Coats Long.  They were married July 6, 2013.  He is also survived by one son:  Michael Christopher Long of Scottsburg, three step-sons:  Nicholas Keith Payne (Kayla) of Salem, Justin Robert Payne of Salem, and Randy McCreary (Emily) of Salem, a step-daughter:  Courtney Nicole Payne of Salem, his father:  Leon Long of Barstow, California, a brother:  Rick Long (Gina) of Salem, three sisters:  Marjorie Burns (Kevin) of Salem, Jackie Brown (Tom) of Texas and Christine Mattoni of Salem, and 8 grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his mother:  Evelyn Hardin.

Funeral services will be held Monday at 2PM at Weathers Funeral Home.  Burial will follow in Crown Hill Cemetery.  Visitation will be Monday from 10AM-time of service.
