Michael Bricktop Collins

Mr. Michael Ray "Bricktop" Collins age 64 of Pekin passed away Sunday, February 17 at his home.
Mr. Collins was born August 5, 1948 in Salem the son of Victor Oren and Mabel Christina Persinger Collins. He was a retired employee of the City of Salem. He was a Vietnam War Army veteran and a member of Enon Baptist Church and American Legion.
He is survived by his wife: Linda Crain Collins, three sons: Shawn, Jaime, and Christopher Collins all of Salem, a daughter: Christina Collins of Pekin, two sisters: Marsha Roberts and Diana Stewart both of Salem, and 8 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister: Carolyn Sherman.
Memorial services will be held Thursday at 6:00PM at Weathers Funeral Home. Military honors will be follow the service. Visitation will be Thursday from 4-6PM.
