Melissa Renee (Carbaugh) Vickers

Mrs. Melissa Renèè Carbaugh Vickers, age 38, of Salem, passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by loved ones Friday, December 30.

Melissa was born April 12, 1984, the daughter of David and Donna Booker Carbaugh. She was a 2002 Hillcrest High School, Simpsonville, S.C. graduate. She was a member of the Beta Club. She was employed at JayC in Salem. She was a devoted mother, wife, daughter, and sister.

She is survived by her husband: Russell Vickers, three sons: Joseph (J.D.), Marcus, and Alex Vickers all of Salem, her parents: David and Donna Booker Carbaugh of Salem, a brother: Dallas Carbaugh of Simpsonville, S.C., two nieces: Kaylee and Veronica Carbaugh of Simpsonville, S.C., and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

She is preceded in death by her brother: Ryan Abbott, a cousin: Tami Jo Durbin, and grandparents: Murphy and Sharon Booker, and Harry and Mary Carbaugh.

Funeral services will be held at 12PM Wednesday, January 4 at Weathers Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Crown Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 4-8PM and Wednesday 10AM-until time of service at the funeral home.
