Mathilda Cora Mollet

Mrs. Mathilda Cora Mollet, age 81, of Salem, passed away Wednesday, November 13 at Norton Clark Hospital.

Mrs. Mollet was born March 3, 1943 in Belleville, Illinois the daughter of Wilhelm F. Zielsdorf and Cora May Lasher Zielsdorf. She was retired from Horseshoe Casino. She was a member of Eastside Baptist Church in Paoli. Mathilda loved playing euchre and bowling in tournaments. 

She was preceded in death by her husband: Henry Frederick “Fritz” Mollet on September 9, 2023. She is also preceded in death by a son: Steven Mollet, a brother: Henry Zielsdorf, 2 grandchildren, and her parents. 

She is survived by four sons: Lonnie Mollet (Jeanette) of Casey, IL, Darrell Mollet (Deneen) of Salem, Glen Mollet (Judy) of Salem, and Darrin Mollet (Kelly) also of Salem, a daughter-in-law: Brenda Mollet, a brother: Earl Arthur Zielsdorf of Saybrook, IL, a sister: Marhta Settlers of Clearmore, OK, 15 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild on the way. 

Funeral services will be held at 7PM Tuesday at Weathers Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 4PM-until time of service.
