Mary Virginia Henry

Mary Virginia Pierson Henry, age 96, of Lugoff, South Carolina, passed away Tuesday, December 3 at her home.

Mary was born September 28, 1928, to Carl and Ethel McClure Pierson. Mary’s family lovingly referred to her as “The Legend”.

She is survived by her sons: Richard Henry (Jennifer) and Ernest Dillard Jr., three brothers: James Pierson (Delores), Donald Pierson (Sylvia), and Robert Pierson, 5 grandchildren: Amy Crecelius, Jamie Stewart, Jeffery Henry, Virginia Wages, and Brent Dilliard, 3 great-grandchildren: Brandon Crecelius, Dylan Carpenter and Baden Stewart, and two great-great-grandchildren: Jacob and Jesse Crecelius. She is also survived by a host of nephews, nieces, and friends and family that will always love and miss her. She was preceded in death by a son: Larry Crecelius, 4 brothers: Harmon Pierson, Earl Pierson, Richard Pierson, and Melvin Pierson and 4 sisters: Naomi Pierson, Dorothy Lynch, Shirley Stephenson, and Lorraine Meriweather.

Funeral services will be held Monday at 2PM at Weathers Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Claysville Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 10AM-time of service
