Mrs. Mary C. Bowers age 91 of Salem passed away Wednesday, October 12, 2011 at Hampton Oaks, in Scottsburg.
Mrs. Bowers was born September 10, 1920 in Washington County Indiana, the daughter of Earl and Emma Simpson Hinkle. She was retired from the Old Fashion Store and a member of the Christian Life Baptist Church and Higland Homemakers Club. She is preceded in death by her husband Wayne Bowers and a brother Howard Hinkle. She is survived by a son : Gary Bowers of Nashville , TN, two daughters : Sharon Stingel of Sellersburg , and Lois Zink of Reno, NV , a brother Earl Hinkle of Salem , and 4 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2:00PM at Weathers Funeral Home . Burial will follow in Crown Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday from 4-8PM at Weathers Funeral Home and from 8Am-to time of service.
