Marjorie Ellen (Chastain) Roll

Marjorie Ellen Roll, of Fredericksburg, passed into the arms of Jesus on October 30, 2020. Marjorie Chastain, or Marge, as she was affectionately known, was born December 19, 1930, in Washington County to Edgar Earl and Cora (Maudlin) Chastain, the youngest of six children. She married Paul Franklin Roll on August 14, 1955. She survived Paul, who passed March 1, 2013. They have two children, Jeff(Krisanne) Roll of English, IN and Paula(Kevin) Baylor of Clarksville, TN. She is survived by eight grandchildren, Sophie(Scott) Wallace, Tully Roll, Abe Roll, Levi Roll, Sadie Roll, Sydney Roll, Morgan(Ben) Powell, and Makinley Baylor. She was also blessed with two great grandchildren, Olive and Amos Wallace. She was preceded in death by five siblings, Russell Chastain, Noble Chastain, Naomi Shanks, Osborne Chastain, and Laura Alice Chastain. Marge was a member of Fredericksburg Church of Christ, where she served faithfully for many years. She also retired from the United States Postal Service as Postmaster, a position she performed with pride. Her greatest joy came from loving and caring for her family, particularly doting on her grandchildren and great grandchildren. A celebration of her life will be held at a later date. Christ has placed eternity in our hearts, and He is our hope in life and death. Marjorie Ellen Roll is home.
