Marietta (Oliver) Stephenson

Mrs. Marietta Stephenson age 90 of Salem passed away Tuesday, October 22 at Salem Crossing.
Mrs. Stephenson was born January 31, 1923 in Washington County, Indiana the daughter of Durward and Clair Oliver.
She was a retired taxidermist, having operated a taxidermy business in Crescent City, Florida. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Crescent City and attended Mt. Tabor and Westview Christian Church. She was a member of Friendly Neighbors Homemakers Club.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 72 years: Morris Stephenson on February 13, 2013. They were married February 9, 1941. She was also preceded in death by her parents, a sister: Katrina Purlee and a great-granddaughter: Tiffany Smith.
She is survived by a son: Jack Reid Stephenson of Salem, two grandchildren: Sandra Beams and Reid Stephenson, and 4 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11:00AM at Weathers Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Mt. Tabor Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 4-8PM and Thursday from 9AM-time of service.
