Mrs. Louise Carpenter Pinkston, age 81 of Salem passed away Tuesday, March 29, 2016 at Floyd Memorial Hospital.
Mrs. Pinkston was born February 13, 1935 in Erwin Tennessee the daughter of Virgil and Exie Ingram Carpenter. She retired from Mama Rosa’s and Lewebb and was a homemaker. She was a member of the Woman’s Auxiliary American Legion Post #41.
On October 4, 1968, she married Benjamin Pinkston. She is survived by five daughters: Marshann Stanley of New Albany, Debbie Roll (Mike) , Sheila Elliott both of Salem, Cathy Meloccaro (Gary) of San Antonio, and Beverly Pinkston of Campbellsburg, one brother: Jerry Carpenter of Kingsport, TN, two sister: Jo Ann Hoesley of Tampa FL, Mae Johnson of Abilene, TX, twelve grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband and her parents .
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 1:00PM at Weathers Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Crown Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 4-8 at the Funeral Home,and Saturday 11-time of service .
