Mrs. Louise Hobbs age 95 of Salem passed away Wednesday, December 28 at Kindred Indian Creek in Corydon.
Mrs. Hobbs was born April 10, 1921 in Danville, Illinois the daughter of Delmer Hulan and Dora Alice Shehan Hays. She was a member of Salem First Christian Church where she was in the Priscilla Circle. She was also a member of PEO, Tri Kappa, and Christopher Harrison Chapter of DAR.
Louise was preceded in death by her husband: Chester Robert Hobbs in 1977, a daughter: Susan Louise Hobbs, a brother: John Hays, a sister: Joan Brown and her parents.
She is survived by three sons: Chester Robert Hobbs Jr. of Bloomington, James Steven Hobbs (Teri Linden) of Salem and Raymond Lee Hobbs (Veronica) of Grantsburg, a daughter: Patricia Hobbs VanDusen (Michael) of Clayton, Idaho, a sister: Linda Johns of Indianapolis, 8 grandchildren: Jennifer Hobbs, Lindsey VanDusen, Jade Pugua, Nathan VanDusen, Wyatt Tengesdal, Katherine Hobbs, Anna Hobbs and Natasha Luttrell, and four great-grandchildren: Callie Longfellow, Luna Pugua, Olivia Cox and Maryele Remington.
Visitation will be Friday from 4-8PM at Weathers Funeral Home. Burial will be private in Crown Hill Cemetery. A Celebration of Life Service will be held later in the Spring.
