Louis Edward Skeens

Mr. Louis Edward Skeens age 71 of Scottsburg passed away Saturday, November 26 at St. Vincent Hospital in Salem.
Mr. Skeens was born September 6, 1945 in New Albany the son of Herman Edward Skeens and Ester Emma Bottles Skeens. He was retired from Cemeteries and Sanitation Department in New Albany. He was a member of Mt. Eden Christian Church.
He is survived by four brothers: Donald Skeens (Rachel) of Scottsburg, Raymond Skeens (Mary) of Greenville, Johnnie Skeens of New Albany, Steven Skeens of Georgetown, eight sisters: Rebecca Fields (Stephen) of Milton, Florida, Violet Fulkerson of Pekin, Brenda Johnson of Louisville, Nancy Mason of Georgetown, Robin Adams (Harold) of Sellersburg, Wanda Skeens of New Albany, Thelma Banet (Leon) of Georgetown and Linda Skeens and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers: James and Ronald Skeens and three sisters: Kathryn Kemp, Mary Etta Skeens, and Rosa Short.
A celebration of life service will be held Friday, December 2 at 2PM at Mt. Eden Christian Church, 6991 E. Mt. Eden Road, Scottsburg.
