Mrs. Loretta M. McKillip age 83 of Salem passed away Sunday, August 19 at Salem Crossing.
Mrs. McKillip was born May 1, 1935 in Washington County, Indiana the daughter of Lawrence and Margery Crim Miller. She was a former employee of B.F. Goodrich and Jean’s Extrusions. She was a member of Big Spring Church of Christ, Hoosier Hustler Homemakers, a charter member of the Art Guild and a member of the board of directors for Salem Senior Citizens. She was a graduate of Awareness Washington County.
Loretta married Robert McKillip on September 1, 1951 and he preceded her in death on December 27, 2014. She was also preceded in death by three brothers: Irvin, Paul and Warren Miller, a sister: Ruby Miller, a grandson: Roger Messer and her parents.
She is survived by three sons: Robert Lawrence McKillip of Rocky Mount, Virginia, William Joseph McKillip of Henryville, and Charles Lee McKillip (Tracey) of Salem, a daughter: Margie Baldwin (Joe) of Salem, 12 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11:00AM at Weathers Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Big Spring Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 4-8PM and Thursday from 9AM-time of service.
