Loretta May (Craig) Johnson

Mrs. Loretta May Johnson, age 82, of Orleans passed away Sunday , June 21 at Norton Hospital, in Louisville.

Mrs. Johnson was born September 20, 1937 at Shinnston, West Virginia, the daughter of Chester R. Craig and Wilma Catherine Hoffman Craig. She retired from Chino Valley School System in Arizona. She was a member of Millersburg Baptist Church.

She married Merle Johnson May 1, 1971 and he preceded her in death July 30, 2017. She is also preceded in death by a daughter: Glenda Kay Allen and her parents.

Loretta is survived by a son: Glendon Russell Sprouse of Boonville, KY, five daughters; Lillian Marie Davis of Paoli, IN, Sara Jean Sprouse of Parkersburg, W.V., Katherine Ellen Sullivan of Hanover, IN, Loretta Carol Konz of Louisville, KY, and Loyda Larriana Johnson of Carrollton, KY, a brother: William Russell Craig of Parkersburg, W.V., 23 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren, and several great-great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held Thursday at 5PM at Weathers Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 4PM-until time of service.
