LLoyd E. Mahuron

Lloyd E. Mahuron, age 91, of Pekin, IN, died Wednesday, January 5, 2022, at his home.

Mr. Mahuron was born December 14, 1930, near Salem to Jesse and Mary (Payne) Mahuron.  He married Nellie Bateman, who preceded him in death, later he married Doris J. (Felker) (Pittman) Mahuron.  He was a member of Blue River Baptist Church.  He was a 1949 graduate of Salem High School.  He was in the National Guards for 10 years.  He retired as Finish Forman from Smith (Child Craft) cabinet factory in Salem after 43 years of employment.

He is survived by his wife:  Doris, son:  Roger (Marilyn) Mahuron of Frankfort, Kentucky, daughter: Robin Bishop of Pekin, step-daughter:  Carol Pittman of Brandenburg, Kentucky, step-son:  David (Teresa) Pittman, granddaughter:  Deana (Aaroyn) Bagshaw, grandsons:  Michael (Jackie) Trueblood of Salem, Billy (Brittany) Cody of Lanesville, Indiana, James Mahuron and Ronald Mahuron of Frankfort, Kentucky, step-granddaughters:  Crystal (Scot) Crowder of Jeffersonville, Indiana, Jennifer (Jamie) Lee of Pekin, Indiana, Becky  Simpson of Pekin, Indiana and Renee (Todd) Morphis of Palmyra, Indiana, Amber (Darren) Hurst of Pekin, Indiana and Jackie (Josh) Rains of Payneville, Kentucky, step-grandson:  Josh Smith of Radcliff, Kentucky, great-grandsons:  Caleb (Ashley) Trueblood of Campbellsburg, Ethan (Shea) Trueblood, Zac Trueblood, and Lane Trueblood all of Salem, Indiana and Waylon Cody and Boone Cody both of Lanesville, Indiana, step-great-grandchildren:  Brandon (Shelby Voyles) Lee, Megan Lee, Johnathan Simpson, Hayley Hurst, and Archer Hurst all of Pekin, Indiana, Katie Morphis and Ian Morphis of Palmyra, Indiana, Lindsey Rains and Lucy Rains of Payneville, Kentucky and Brayden Smith of Radcliff, Kentucky and Morgan Crowder of Jeffersonville, Indiana, great-great grandsons:  Hayden and Reagan Trueblood of Campbellsburg, great-great granddaughters:  Nellie Trueblood and Vada Trueblood, step-great-great granddaughter:  Dolly Lee of Pekin, Indiana.  He is also survived by a sister:  Gwen (Mahuron) Nelson of Salem, Indiana and a brother:  Wayne (Rosa) Mahuron of Bedford, Indiana.

He was preceded in death by his parents:  Jesse and Mary (Payne) Mahuron, wife:  Nellie (Bateman) Mahuron, son:  Ronald Mahuron, sister:  Marge (Mahuron) Hollingsworth and son-in-law:  Dennis Bishop.

Funeral services will be held Monday at Noon at Weathers Funeral Home.  Burial will follow in Blue River Baptist Cemetery.  Visitation will be Monday from 10AM- until time of service.
