Leslie Drew Box

Mr. Leslie Drew Box age 73 of New Albany passed away Thursday, October 29 at University of Louisville Hospital.

Mr. Box was born March 29, 1942 in Salem the son of Albert Andrew and Lula Marie Bottorff Box.  He was a retired over the road truck driver.  He was a member of Southeast Christian Church in Jeffersonville.  Leslie loved working with wood, gardening and yardwork and was an avid reader.

Leslie married Phyllis Ann Steward on January 28, 1961.  He is survived by his wife:  Phyllis Ann Box of New Albany, a son:  Daniel Leslie Box of Louisville, two daughters:  Debra Ann Baker of Perryville, Missouri and Angela Dawn Williams of Campbellsburg, a sister:  Lois Gilstrap of Salem, 5 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.  He was preceded in death by his son:  Shannon Duane Box, a sister:  Lorene Pennington and his parents.

Funeral services will be held Monday at 1:00PM at Weathers Funeral Home.  Burial will follow in Mt. Tabor Cemetery.  Visitation will be Sunday from 4-8PM and Monday from 9AM-time of service.
