Leo W Nicholson

Mr. Leo W. Nicholson age 94 of Pekin passed away Wednesday, November 26 at 8:37PM in Borden.

Mr. Nicholson was born October 30, 1920 in Washington County, Indiana the son of John and Elma Phipps Nicholson.  He was a retired foreman for Hobart Manufacturing Corporation and a retired farmer.  He was a long term member of Bethel United Methodist Church. He was a World War II US Army veteran and a member of American Legion and VFW.

He was preceded in death by his wife:  Nellie Nicholson on November 13, 1996.  He was also preceded in death by a daughter:  Chera Nicholson, four brothers:  Laurel, Cecil, John David and Maurice Nicholson, two sisters:  Mildred Smith and Bethel Knapp and his parents.

He is survived by a son:  Kim Nicholson of Tallahassee, Florida, four daughters:  Gayle Berryman of Salem, Myra Nicholson of Pekin, Rita Miller (Joe) of Jeffersonville and Lori Hunter (Tom) of Greensburg, Indiana, two brothers:  Wayne Nicholson of Salem and Philip Nicholson of Campbellsburg, a sister:  Phyllis Maudlin of Evansville, 11 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2:00PM at Weathers Funeral Home.  Burial will follow in Crown Hill Cemetery with military honors.  Visitation will be Saturday from 10AM-time of service.
